The tradition continues – for the 4th year we’ve held a Haiti Children Christmas. This year we planned for 400 children and had over 569 children on Christmas Day! These children participated in a Christmas program/prayers, met Santa, received a meal, and most children received a toy! We also drew names of two children who received a bike.
We were able to watch the Christmas Program on Skype this year, which is amazing! Big thanks to William Hyppolite and Mr. B for organizing the Haiti Children Christmas held in the Englise Methodiste Church in Anse-a-Galets.
Funds for this were provided by Mitchell 1st UMC Alternative Gift Fair, Fusion UMC, Hot Springs United Church, and donations to LaGonave Alive! We will need more support next year as this event continues to grow.
